Coffee Smoothie

I’m always thinking of ways to recreate recipes at home to save money and in many cases, calories. For a while there, the pineapple kale smoothie was my thing from Robeks, so I recreated it then I fell off the green smoothie bandwagon. This time around it’s the Naturally Coffee smoothie. It’s a delicious creamy blend of coffee beans, nonfat yogurt, and milk. They grind up fresh coffee beans that look like little pieces of Oreo in the smoothie! I figured the ingredients were so simple, I could totally make it at home. My results were an absolute success! Although, I did have to research How to grind coffee beans the first time I made it.

What you need:

1 cup or 2 scoops of vanilla frozen yogurt. I am a huge fan of the Healthy Choice vanilla frozen yogurt. If you use this brand, use 2 containers.
1/4 cup fresh coffee beans. Don’t use ground coffee!
1 tsp Hershey’s chocolate syrup
1/2 cup vanilla soy milk. I recommend Silk Very Vanilla soy milk
Ice (if your blender or food processor can handle it, if not just refrigerate for a little while afterwards)

What you need to do:

Simply blend all of the ingredients together until the coffee beans look like little specs. The coffee beans are meant to be a little crunchy, just not huge.

Enjoy!

Weight Watchers points: 7 (a very filling snack).
