Yellow Trench Coat

As a lifelong thrifter, often times I feel like I’ve seen it all. However, every now and then I’ll come across something that speaks to my personal style so strongly that I wonder how and why it even ended up at the thrift store. My love for colors and bright things may come as no surprise to many readers, so when I spotted this bold yellow trench at the Village for $7 I almost couldn’t believe my eyes. It was originally priced at $15 but I scored it on a half off day.

Anytime I buy something bold and exciting, I always search for inspiration online. While browsing for ideas on how to style this yellow jacket, I came across the original jacket on Pinterest. It’s always fun to find out where your thrifted item came from, whether it’s vintage or new. The brand of this is Via, which I guess is sold at Victoria’s Secret. Bold colors and prints are two of the easiest things to thrift because they pop out on a packed rack. This jacket is proving to be incredibly versatile. I can’t wait to pair it with my recent vintage farmers’ market find this spring.
