Thriftspired by: Sarah Jessica Parker

Between watching reruns of Sex and the City and new episodes of Divorce on HBO, my early 2000s style crush on Sarah Jessica Parker has been renewed. One of the main reasons I settled on this outfit after seeking some SJP style inspiration on Pinterest (other than the fact that it’s such an easy semi-casual look) is the faux velvet. This 1990s trend is back in full force this winter and luckily for thrifters, it’s always in stock at secondhand stores. It took me about two minutes to find this blazer at the Village. In fact, I spotted so many only a few minutes into my shopping trip that I had to narrow it down to one. I’m usually a cross body bag kind of girl, but I’ll wear a a pink satchel any day.
