Happy Friday! I’m looking forward to a busy weekend ahead. Hoping for no thunderstorms for Akron Bike Party tonight and the Summer Solstice Festival this weekend. This outfit screams summer, doesn’t it? I usually wear it to the beach but have quickly incorporated it into every day wear. It has easily become my go-to outfit for summer festivals, parties, or ice cream stops with my sister. I’ve had this shirt since the early 2000s and the only reason why I remember it was $6 is because I bought two of these with different prints, see the other one here. I attempted a DIY cut off with these shorts and I realize that they aren’t perfect, but I think that’s what I love most about them.
Speaking of summer, I crazily agreed to get dunked at the Summit County Historical Society’s 90th birthday celebration on July 12. This is going to be a great community event and I encourage you all to come out! This year’s event is 1920s themed, did you know that dunking was invented in the 1920s? I think I might wear this retro inspired swimsuit with the cut offs in today’s outfit for the dunking. The event is family friendly and there are tons of things to do. Check it out here and hope to see you there!
