Plaid Pencil Skirt

I had a plaid pencil skirt on my thrift wish list for about six months before I found the perfect one last year. I kept finding school uniform style skirts, full wool skirts, and mini skirts, but nothing fitted and pencil-like. Plaid is a thrift store staple, so I wasn’t going to give up. I ended up finding one for $2. Sometimes thrift trips end up being unsuccessful, as many regular retail shopping trips do too. However, if the item isn’t a priority or immediate need, I always try to wait it out until I find what I need. I didn’t need the plaid pencil skirt, I wanted one after I saw this pin. So it was worth the wait.

For this look, I decided to mix and match textures but wearing a faux leather jacket with my skirt. Since everything else is pretty busy, I toned it down with a simple gray tee.

Hope you all had a wonderful holiday!
