I must admit, summer fashion got really old really fast for me this year. The one style I’ll always embrace all year round, however, is embroidery. So even though I was feeling a little blah about getting creative with outfits this summer, this dress was a bit of a breath of fresh air for me. I loved the embroidery and the fact that it requires zero to little styling effort. I have always been a little intrigued about embroidery designs, especially when it comes to fashion. I love that you can even make your own embroidery outfits, using machine embroidery designs to create your perfect style. I added my $1.50 thrifted bag and a pair of shoes I’ve had probably since high school – no joke. Best part is that I have the option to wear it on or off the shoulder. I usually wear a large in junior’s sizes and this XL fits like a large. You can shop for the exact dress or similar styles below.
You can also pair dresses like this with other items, such as embroidered belts, to really make an impact. It’s amazing how much personal style you can inject into your attire with the little extras. In this case I paired the dress simply with a woven handbag that matched the pink hues and tones in the embroidery of the dress, and then highlighted the eccentricity with a pair of rounded mirror shades. It created quite a striking outfit, don’t you think? I love it, for sure!
