One of my favorite festivals of the year is Akron Square Fest. Last year I was a vendor but decided to take a break this year to enjoy everything this street festival in Highland Square has to offer. We tasted honey from the Akron Honey Company, and enjoyed hot dogs and pizza flavored popcorn. We popped into Square, got chai tea at Angel Falls and then listened to two great local bands including the jazz group Acid Cats followed by The Shivering Timbers. As much as I love embellishments and dresses, I am a huge fan of weekend wear. This outfit easily transitioned from work to play, I wore this exact look with heels and a blazer to work for a casual Friday outfit, and simply swapped my heels for nude flats and blazer with a hand-me-down utility jacket from my friend Katie. I also got this bag for free at the last clothing swap I co-hosted with Brit. I think another clothing swap or ‘shop  my closet’ event is order, I need to get rid of some clothes!
